Natural anodising of aluminium parts
At Anodizados Oliva, we specialise in natural anodising, an electrolytic treatment that forms a layer of aluminium oxide (Al2O3) on the surface of the material. This protective layer is sealed to close the pores and ensure a uniform, resistant and durable finish.
It is important to note that not all types of aluminium are suitable for anodising, so we advise our customers on choosing the right material for each application.

Process characteristics
Manual process carried out by professionals with extensive experience in the sector.
We have equipment to certify the requested thicknesses.
2
Finishes
To achieve different decorative finishes, processes can be carried out prior to anodising, such as:
- Mechanical polishing: glossy, satin, frosted.
- Sandblasting, shot blasting
3
Properties
Natural anodising offers multiple benefits:
- Strong bond with the base metal.
- Protection against corrosion.
- Aesthetic and decorative improvement.
- Electrical insulating properties.
- Absence of toxicity.
- Colouring and impregnation capacity.
- Abrasion resistance.
- Minimal maintenance (cleaning with neutral soap is sufficient).
4
Available thicknesses
The thickness of the layer may vary depending on the final application of the part:
- 5, 10, 15 and 20 µm (microns).
- At our facilities, we can anodise up to a maximum of 20–25 µm.
- The thickness depends on the aluminium alloy and the process applied.
Benefits of natural anodising
Choosing natural anodising for aluminium offers technical and aesthetic advantages that make it one of the most comprehensive treatments available:
- Long-lasting protection: creates a layer that is resistant to corrosion and abrasion.
- Aesthetic versatility: allows for glossy, satin or matt finishes, as well as the possibility of subsequent colouring.
- Insulating properties: acts as an electrical barrier in specific applications.
- Easy maintenance: simply clean with mild soap, without harsh chemicals.
- Safety and sustainability: non-toxic and environmentally friendly process.
- Heat sink: improves heat dissipation by increasing its surface area and, more importantly, its surface emissivity, allowing heat to radiate better into the environment.
